About David
Whether it's magazines, websites, or video, David Popp is a jack-of-all trades when it comes to media. His current project is the children's television series, The Fred and Susie Show. The show debuted as a DVD series in early 2010, and he and his production team transitioned the show to television in late 2012. You can learn more about the project at fredandsusie.com.

David is also the corporate video producer for Kalmbach Publishing Co., and one of his responsibilities is producing Model Railroader Video Plus, a subscription video magazine for Model Railroader. David also worked for many years on the print version of the magazine, writing more than 70 articles, as well as several books including Building a Model Railroad Step by Step (Kalmbach Books), now in its second edition. 

David has extensive video talent experience, appearing on-screen for various how-to segments for the magazine, as well as TN Marketing's Dream, Plan, Build DVD series. In addition, David has appeared in several episodes of the DIY series, Work'n on the Railroad, and on an episode of the Milwaukee Public Television show Tracks Ahead 

David holds a bachelor of arts degree in English from Northern Illinois University and taught high school in a previous life. Photography, cartoon illustration, music, theater and fiction are among his other media-related activities. He is also the chief pencil-dropper at Dropped Pencil.
